Alpha Omega Elite Track Team & Fitness, Inc. (AOETT), a nonprofit community-based health, fitness, behavior modification, educational and character development organization, working primarily with youths. We offer measurable behavioral development programs that promote good health, fitness and wellness. The programs are designed to directly assist in the reduction of childhood obesity, delinquency and crime among youths across the United States. Studies have shown that children who start organized extracurricular activity by the age of twelve (12), are less likely to be involved in future delinquent misconduct. Research has indicated that seventy percent (70%) of the children that stay active in structured programs are less likely to be involved in criminal youth activity, or influenced by negative social peer pressures. A positive self-image at an early age gears young people towards better coping skills to deal with life challenges. (Source: http://nces.ed.gov/) |
